Position overview

The Plant Manager leads all aspects of the Springfield Pike aggregates operation in Connellsville, PA, including an underground mine and processing plant, with responsibility for safety, operational performance, team leadership, financial results, and continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead aggregate plant and underground mining operations to achieve safety, production, quality, and cost-performance goals.
  • Foster a strong safety culture through visible leadership, risk management, regulatory compliance, and workforce engagement.
  • Drive operational excellence by improving equipment reliability, plant efficiency, maintenance performance, and resource utilization.
  • Manage site financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, production planning, and achievement of business objectives.
  • Develop, coach, and support supervisors and employees while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What we are looking for

  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing large-scale aggregates, quarry, or mining operations.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, environmental, maintenance, and operational compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams through coaching, communication, and accountability.
  • Experience with budgeting, P&L ownership, cost management, and operational decision-making.
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and stakeholder management skills in a dynamic production environment.
  • Experience with underground mining operations is preferred but not required.
  • Experience using SAP or similar enterprise systems is preferred.

Work environment

  • Regular exposure to quarry, mining, processing, and mobile equipment environments.
  • Frequent interaction with employees, contractors, customers, and business partners.
  • Requires field presence and the ability to navigate industrial and mining environments while adhering to all safety requirements.
  • May require occasional travel to support business initiatives, training, and operational reviews.
