Job description

Overview

JOB LOCATION:  Springville, UT

EXEMPTION STATUS: Non-exempt (Hourly)

                                                                                                                 

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday & rotating Saturdays, some evenings required. No Sundays.

 

STATUS: Part-time

FUNCTION: Responsible for preparing and cooking food, maintaining kitchen equipment, and ensuring a clean and safe cooking environment to ensure high-quality meals are consistently served.

 

KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values.
  • Maintain a positive, motivated attitude in the workplace.
  • Prepare and cook chicken, snacks, and other food items according to company standards.
  • Ensure all meals are prepared in a safe and hygienic manner.
  • Ensure that all food items meet safety and quality standards, including checking temperatures, storage conditions, and freshness.
  • Regularly clean and sanitize cooking equipment, kitchen surfaces, and food prep areas. Ensure that all machines are thoroughly cleaned and maintained for optimal performance.
  • Track inventory of food supplies and ingredients, including ordering or restocking as necessary to meet demand.
  • Report any malfunctioning or broken equipment to management.
  • Maintain a clean and professional working environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely food preparation during busy hours.
  • Attend and participate in all Company sponsored training programs as required.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and Company policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties, responsibilities or tasks as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices, including proper storage, handling, and temperature control for cooked and raw foods.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks.
  • Provide regular and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to identify issues with food or equipment and find solutions promptly.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment, helping others and communicating effectively within the team.
  • Demonstrate initiative and reliability with minimal supervision.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Prior cooking/food service experience required.
  • Food handler's permit or any other relevant culinary certifications is advantageous.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Physical Work - Medium: exerting up to 25 lbs. of force regularly.
  • Repetitive motion associated with operating a fryer and other cooking equipment.
  • Frequent bending, standing for extended periods, and lifting required.
  • Able to work in hot environments (kitchen and fryer areas) and tolerate noise from cooking equipment and customer traffic.
  • Ability to communicate with customers and team members verbally.
