Job description

Cabernet Sauvignon Intern

Odette Estate is dedicated to crafting exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley. We have a beautiful LEED Gold certified facility, modern equipment, and provide training that will prepare the novice winemaker for future success. You will work with the five main Bordeaux varietals from our organically farmed estate vineyard, commune with barrel fermented Chardonnay, tame the tannins of Petite Sirah, work with fruit from neighboring Napa sub-AVAs, and visit our sister wineries in Oakville and Howell Mountain. Harvest interns enjoy a well-rounded experience that includes (but not limited to): cleaning and sanitizing equipment, crush pad and press operations, inoculations and additions, fermentation management, barrel shepherding, racking, and filling, berry maturation sampling, introductory bench chemistry, forklift operation.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate can maintain a positive attitude when under pressure and values camaraderie. This seasonal position involves working in a fast-paced, mentally and physically demanding environment, while maintaining high standards in all duties. Candidates must be willing and able to lift heavy objects (40+ lbs), stand, crawl, kneel, and climb. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, be eligible to work in the US (if you need a visa, please have the process in motion), obtain their own housing, and possess reliable means of transportation. This position will be from August through approximately November 2026.
