We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager (Engineering).
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the management of the most significant capital projects within PegasusTSI. This role is accountable for compliance with respect to project safety, project contract execution and project schedule and budget adherence. Project scope could range from FEL-1 engineering studies to full EPCM scope for major projects.
The Senior Project Manager will bring extensive experience in major capital projects, within the process industries, to bear in order to assist Business Development and Project Cost Control members to create competitive execution plans and estimates. Once awarded the project, the role becomes the primary point of contact with the client in all matters relating to the contracted project delivery process.
Responsibilities:
  • Effectively manage projects to meet or exceed the project objectives including cost, schedule, and, potentially, plant performance, depending on the contract terms, all in accordance with PegasusTSI safety and quality standards, as well as our project procedures and any client requirements as stipulated in the contract
  • Lead and motivate the assigned project teams, both internal and 3rd party international partners, to successfully complete projects, mentoring junior project engineers when assigned, and develop a strong, energized team focused on client success and our team's growth and development
  • Manage the Risk Management and Change Management processes throughout the life of the assigned projects
  • Conduct regular internal project team meetings throughout the project execution period to manage the project team with appropriate documentation in accordance with internal PegasusTSI project procedures. Similarly, this role is responsible for routine and special meetings, as needed and agreed, between our team and the client project team
  • Regularly assess cost forecasts, schedule progress, and manpower needs to successfully meet both the project and company needs
  • Participate in regular (monthly) formal Project Review meetings with PegasusTSI senior management to review current project status, client or team issues, updated schedules, cash flow, etc.
  • Investigate, document, and share pertinent lessons learned on the projects to allow shared learning across PegasusTSI

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
  • 20+ years of experience in engineering and/or construction
  • 10+ years project management experience on major EPC projects in oil/gas/chemical industries, where you lead the projects
  • Professional Engineering (PE) registration preferred
  • Must have a full complement of project management skills including analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, team building, and resource planning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficient with technical software applications, including MS Office and Google Workspace
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
