Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Intern to join our R&D team focused on the development of next-generation magnetic particle technologies for life science applications. This is a hands-on laboratory position where the successful candidate will work on the synthesis, surface modification, characterization, and optimization of magnetic particles and magnetic bead systems.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, nanotechnology, or a related discipline, with experience in nanoparticle synthesis, colloidal systems, or surface chemistry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Synthesize and optimize magnetic nanoparticles and magnetic particle formulations.
  • Develop and evaluate particle coating technologies, including silica and polymer-based surface modifications.
  • Perform particle functionalization using various chemical approaches to introduce desired surface properties.
  • Characterize particle physical and chemical properties using analytical techniques such as DLS, zeta potential, FTIR, SEM/TEM, and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
  • Investigate particle stability, dispersibility, aggregation behavior, and magnetic performance.
  • Design and conduct experiments to improve particle synthesis yield, uniformity, and functionality.
  • Analyze experimental data, document results, and present findings to the R&D team.
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers on product and process development projects.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and follow safety procedures.

Education and Experience:
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
    • Chemistry
    • Materials Science
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Nanotechnology
    • Polymer Science
    • Related scientific disciplines
  • Strong laboratory experience in synthetic chemistry, materials chemistry, or nanoparticle research.
  • Understanding of colloid science, surface chemistry, and particle interactions.
  • Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and experimental troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
