Production Line Technician – 3rd Shift

Location: Toledo, OH
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: 3rd Shift

A & M Cheese is a leading processor and distributor of premium cheeses throughout the United States. We are currently seeking a dependable and hardworking Production Line Technician to join our 3rd shift production team in Toledo, Ohio.

In this role, you will help keep our production lines running efficiently by preparing materials, supporting packaging operations, maintaining product quality, and ensuring a safe, clean work environment. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and take pride in producing quality products, we'd like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with equipment setup and production line preparation
  • Open cheese cases and totes and prepare products for processing
  • Remove packaging materials and cut cheese as required using hand knives and wire cutters
  • Supply production lines with materials and move products using pallet jacks and hand trucks
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
  • Package, box, label, weigh, and prepare products for shipment
  • Stack finished goods on pallets and wrap pallet loads manually or with stretch-wrap equipment
  • Operate cardboard balers and assist with waste removal
  • Maintain a clean and organized production area
  • Minimize product and material waste
  • Follow all safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet riders, and other material-handling equipment as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to work in a cool, damp production environment
  • Ability to climb ladders when necessary
  • Ability to assist with lifting items weighing more than 100 pounds as part of a team
  • Experience operating forklifts or pallet riders is a plus
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening

Schedule

3rd Shift Hours

  • Sunday: 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Monday: 9:30 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Tuesday & Wednesday: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Thursday: As needed
