Job description

We are currently looking for a full-time Product Management Technician / Driver to join our team in Omaha. This position is responsible for the timely and appropriate handling of orders and recordkeeping of blood products and services for customers and the transporting of blood products and/or specimens between service hospitals and LifeServe facilities. Product Management Technicians ensure the highest level of customer service to our hospital customers by managing inventory resources and timely deliveries.
Through the selfless giving of volunteer blood donors, LifeServe Blood Center is able to serve more than 175 hospitals across Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Illinois by providing access to a safe, quality blood supply for hospital patients in their critical time of need.
As a Product Management Technician / Driver, you will be responsible for accurately packing orders in a timely manner. You will provide superior customer service primarily through phone work to other blood centers and hospitals. Product Management Technicians are responsible for blood inventory management, and ensuring minimal waste occurs. One of the most important duties of a Product Management Technician is to act as the final checkpoint for quality control, ensuring blood products are accurately and safely packaged before being sent to our hospital partners to be used in lifesaving blood transfusions and other medical procedures.
Shifts:
  • 11:00AM-7:30PM
  • Monday - Friday
  • Rotating on-call weekends

Compensation:
  • Wages starting around $18.75/hr.
  • Night shift differential of $4.00/hr when working 6pm - 6am
  • Weekend shift differential of $2.00/hr

Key responsibilities:
  • Perform distribution/product management tasks according to established policy and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform highly standardized work using established processes and procedures.
  • Perform review of distribution, component modification and equipment related documentation.
  • Perform and document quality control, calibration and maintenance tasks.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and document problems that may influence the quality or completion of shipping and component manufacturing.
  • Assist with writing, review, and evaluation of SOPs.
  • Assist with validation of new equipment and processes.
  • Maintain regular attendance and availability.
  • Maintain confidentiality of LifeServe Blood Center donor, employee, financial, and proprietary records and information at all times.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Execute tasks effectively in a highly-regulated environment.
  • Driving responsibilities due to nature of product delivery.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One year of previous experience in product delivery preferred.
  • Current driver's license and motor vehicle report meeting insurability requirements required.
  • A requirement of this position is the ability to report to the Omaha facility within 30 minutes during on-call hours.
  • Working knowledge and experience working on a computer system required.
