Job description

The Opportunity: Elite Performance in a Family Environment

Sunset Ford has been a cornerstone of the automotive industry since 1912.  Our Waterloo, IL location is seeking a heavy-hitting F&I Manager who takes pride in driving massive PVR & PPR while maintaining the highest levels of integrity.

While your primary focus will be mastering the "box" and maximizing finance profitability, we are looking for a versatile leader. You aren't just a "finance person"—you are a key player in the management team with the ability to step out and assist on the sales desk when needed. If you are a closer who thrives on structuring deals and winning with lenders, you belong at Sunset Ford.

The Mission: Lead, Close, and Protect

As our F&I Manager, you are the final checkpoint for every deal. Your role is centered on financial excellence with a collaborative management edge:

  • Elite F&I Production: Execute a professional menu-selling process to maximize PVR and maintain high penetration rates for VSCs, GAP, and ancillary products.

  • Lender Relations: Build and leverage aggressive relationships with local and national lenders to secure the best rates and fast approvals for all credit tiers.

  • Total Deal Support: Act as a strategic partner to the sales floor—desking deals, structuring financing options, and performing professional trade-in appraisals to ensure we own our inventory correctly.

  • Compliance Authority: Ensure 100% accuracy and compliance with all state and federal regulations; your deal jackets must be "bulletproof."

  • CIT Management: Take personal ownership of Contracts-In-Transit to ensure the dealership’s cash flow remains optimal.

  • Team Integration: Provide "turns" and coaching to the sales team to improve deal structure and handoff quality.

We have ALL the reasons under the SUN to work at Sunset Ford!

We believe that top-tier talent deserves top-tier rewards. We provide a stable, high-volume environment with a benefits package that is unmatched in the region:

  • 100% PAID Employee Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance for full-time employees!!! (Keep your hard-earned commissions; we pay your individual premium).

  • Retirement 401k: Immediate and Automatic Enrollment.

  • PAID Vacation: Time to recharge and enjoy your success.

  • Competitive Pay: A high-reward plan designed for top-tier earners with experience.

  • Paid Training and Certifications: Transferable to any Ford store.

  • Employee Pricing: Exclusive pricing on New & Used Cars.

  • Employee Discounts: Significant savings on Parts & Service.

  • Referral Bonuses: Get paid to bring other high-performers to our team.

  • Friendly Team Atmosphere: A 5th-generation family business where you are a valued leader, not just a number.

What You Bring to the Team
  • Proven F&I Success: At least 2+ years of experience as a high-performing Automotive F&I Manager.

  • The "Desk" Skillset: Proficiency in desking deals and appraising vehicles; you understand the math of the deal from both sides of the glass.

  • Analytical Mindset: Expert knowledge of DMS systems, menu software, and appraisal tools.

  • Integrity: A commitment to transparency and the "Sunset Ford" way of doing business.
