The American Federation of Musicians and Employers' Pension Fund (AFM-EPF) was established for the exclusive purpose of providing certain pension and related benefits to Covered Employees and their Beneficiaries under the Plan and shall further provide the means for financing and maintaining the operation and administration of the Trust and the Plan in accordance with the Trust Agreement, the Plan, and applicable law.

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and support our organization's IT infrastructure. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of servers, networks, operating systems, cloud services, and end-user computing environments. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional IT support and system availability.

Job Description:

Network & Infrastructure Administration:

  • Manage and maintain a 100+ node network, including servers, cybersecurity, backups, telecommunications, remote access, and core infrastructure services
  • Works closely with the Director to establish new projects, and ongoing progress of projects in process.
  • Overall maintenance of the data center in terms of cleanliness, neatness, and safety needs.
  • Hardware and Software installation, and maintenance
  • Work closely with vendors/contractors in the confirmation and maintenance of the Checkpoint Firewall and switches.
  • External (VPN) client and desktop support.
  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and other core infrastructure services.

User Support & Operations:

  • Provide advanced technical support for network, infrastructure, and connectivity issues.
  • Support remote access technologies and hybrid workforce solutions.
  • Provision, configure, and maintain user accounts and technology resources.
  • Collaborate with help desk personnel and other IT staff to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex technical incidents.

Security & Business Continuity:

  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, endpoint protection, vulnerability remediation, and security best practices.
  • Administer user access, permissions, and identity management systems.
  • Monitor security alerts and respond to infrastructure-related incidents.
  • Monitor systems for vulnerabilities, threats and unauthorized access.
  • Assist with Cybersecurity initiatives, audits and compliance requirements.
  • Manage backup systems and support disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
  • Expert level certifications in related technology, systems, applications and software
  • Minimum of 10 yearsโ€™ experience managing a Windows server environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.
  • Strong experience in Vmware and VSphere.
  • Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Demonstrates the ability to produce accurate technical documentation.

The pay range for this role is:

125,000 - 168,000 USD per year (Fund Office)
