Location: Bolingbrook, IL
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift: Monday–Friday | 7:30 am – 4:30 pm (Occasional Saturdays)
Pay: $ 18.00/hour

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inbound Checker to join our warehouse team. The Inbound Checker is responsible for inspecting and verifying all incoming shipments to ensure products are received accurately and meet company quality standards. This role is essential to maintaining inventory accuracy, preventing receiving errors, and supporting efficient warehouse operations.

The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to accuracy and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing lists, and Bills of Lading (BOL)
  • Count and inspect products to ensure quantities, item numbers, and descriptions are accurate
  • Examine freight for visible damage and report shortages, overages, or discrepancies
  • Confirm pallet counts and verify products are received in the correct condition
  • Ensure inbound products are properly labeled and staged for receiving
  • Record receiving information accurately using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or other inventory systems
  • Work closely with forklift operators, receiving personnel, inventory control, and warehouse leadership to resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate receiving records and documentation
  • Follow company safety procedures and warehouse operating standards
  • Assist with inventory counts, quality inspections, and other warehouse duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous warehouse, receiving, inventory control, or logistics experience preferred
  • Experience using handheld RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred
  • Ability to read and understand shipping documents and receiving paperwork
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent counting and organizational skills
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures
  • Ability to meet productivity and accuracy standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a distribution center or third-party logistics (3PL) environment
  • Forklift certification is a plus (not required)
