  1. Write breaking news headlines based on company press releases, social media chatter, analyst coverage, specific stock movements and outside news sources
  2. Monitor and build multiple outside data sources to gather news as fast as possible
  3. Uncover, analyze and report why different stocks and currencies may be volatile
  4. Reach out to companies, investors, analysts, government agencies for original reporting

Experience:

  1. Minimum 2 years in a financial media role, preferably at a newswire service
  2. Knowledge of financial markets, stock markets, global events, economic trends a must
  3. Knowledge of foreign exchange trading, equities is highly desirable
  4. Knowledge of Benzinga Pro and competitor media
  5. Ability to work at break-neck pace for long stretches of time
  6. A hunger for uncovering and breaking news before the market
  7. Excellent typing skills (>70 WPM)
