Key responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting first-draft copy for email sequences, sales pages, ads, and supporting assets using TUB's AI writing stack.

  • Review, edit, and optimize copy drafts to improve quality, effectiveness, and alignment with the brand voice.

  • Ensure copy is scheduled and shipped on time, coordinating with the team to meet launch deadlines.

Job description

Full-Time, W2 | Remote | Reports to Manager of Copy & Brand Voice

TUB runs four major launches a year, and copy volume across email, sales pages, opt-ins, ads, and social has outgrown what one writer can produce alone. This role exists to drive first-draft copy at scale using TUB's own AI writing stack, freeing our Senior Copywriter to focus on brand judgment and quality control instead of drafting everything solo. If you can run Claude like a colleague and still make copy sound like a person wrote it, this is your seat.

The Uncommon Business is the world's fastest-growing AI-first education company, teaching business leaders to architect intelligent systems, not just prompt tools. We don't do busywork, legacy thinking, or 80-hour founder weeks. We build companies where AI handles the repeatable, humans drive the irreplaceable, and leaders scale without burning out. We're profitable, EOS-driven, and operate in championship-level surge cycles. You'll be promoted on impact and ownership, not tenure. High performers thrive here. Passengers don't last.

You might have:
  • Assisted in drafting a full launch sequence, 12 emails, a sales page, and 10+ Meta ads, using TUB's AI writing stack end to end and handing off clean, QC-ready copy a week ahead of send date.
  • Turned meeting notes into an email to our customers that needed only a few line edits before it shipped.
  • Produced 15 ad variations for a paid push in a single afternoon, cutting the time the Senior Copywriter spent on ad drafts from a full day to under an hour.
  • Rebuilt an underperforming opt-in page from scratch, tightening the hook and the offer until it read like a real person talking, not a template.
  • Ran the TUB copy skills inside Claude against a week of email sends, then edited every draft by hand so nothing shipped sounding like AI.

We value ownership over task lists. Here's where you'll lead:

  • Copy Execution. You have an important role in writing needle-moving copy where it adds the most leverage, ad copy, supporting assets, and contributing to the bigger pieces. More hands means more output, and you're a big part of that.
  • Assisting with Copy Optimization. You help lift the effectiveness of our copy across the company: spotting weak points and bottlenecks, making changes, and suggesting edits that raise conversion. You're an active part of the ongoing optimization work, not just shipping what's in front of you.
  • Distribution & Scheduling. You make sure copy gets scheduled and shipped on time, with time to spare. Whether you're doing it yourself or coordinating with the team, nothing slips through the cracks and nothing goes out the door late.
  • Copy Review & Insight. You review drafts, including finished ones handed to you, and give sharp, useful input that lifts quality across the board.
  • AI-Assisted Output. You use TUB's Claude skill stack to move faster and produce more, pushing past first outputs until copy reads like a person wrote it, not a chatbot.
  • Voice Calibration. You study the TUB brand voice closely, and above all work toward mastering the voice of the founder, something built over time, until your drafts land in that voice more naturally each month and your revision notes get shorter, not longer.
The Traits We're Calling In

We hire humans, not checklists, but success here requires:

  • You've used AI writing tools to produce copy that reads like a person wrote it, not a chatbot.
  • You know copywriting fundamentals cold: hooks, structure, and the difference between a feature and a benefit.
  • You take direction well and get sharper fast, closing the gap between your draft and the final version with every round.
  • You can hold volume and quality at the same time when four launches a year come at you back to back.
  • You default to systems and repeatable process over one-off heroics.
What Success Looks Like

You own these key metrics:

  • Launch Coverage: Own first-draft production across email, sales pages, opt-ins, and ads for all four annual launches, delivered to copy-chief review on schedule.
  • Revision Load: Drive copy-chief revision requests down over your first year as your grasp of the TUB voice deepens.
  • QC Handoff: Stand up a repeatable, QC-ready draft handoff so nothing reaches launch without a second set of eyes.
Schedule Flexibility

Standard hours for this role are 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Must be flexible and available for additional hours and weekend work during launch seasons, product releases, or critical business periods when the situation requires it. We operate in championship-season cycles, high-intensity windows where the entire team rallies to deliver exceptional results. Outside these periods, workload is sustainable and focused on building systems for the next surge.

Base Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 USD (based on experience)

Bonus: Periodic bonus available based on company and individual performance, awarded at leadership's discretion.

Structure: Full-time, direct W2 hire

We invest in your performance, not just perks:

  • Health & Wellness: Monthly wellness stipend plus personalized and group wellness coaching.
  • Professional Growth: $1,500 to $3,000 annual development budget for courses, conferences, certifications, and tools.
  • Unlimited PTO: Real flexibility with clear boundaries, championship seasons and strategic recovery periods.

We're not trying to be Google. We're building a championship team that operates at the highest level during launch seasons and recovers like pros in between.
