Job description

Level 1 techs $20/hr pay

  • Don’t need to be highly technical, but they do need to be reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a high-volume environment.
  • For receiving, they should be organized and methodical.
  • This job involves very large quantities (20,000 boards, 6,667 chassis, etc.), so accuracy matters more than speed.
  • They should be able to follow a checklist, document discrepancies, handle hardware carefully, and understand basic ESD handling. Since they’ll be supervised by a lead, interns are fine here as long as they’re coachable and disciplined.
  • For the ECU flashing portion, Level 1s need to be process-driven. It’s repetitive work, but mistakes can multiply quickly.
  • They should be comfortable following a strict procedure, watching flashing status, identifying pass/fail results, and keeping tracking clean. This is more of a production-line mindset than a troubleshooting role.
  • For racking head units and chassis, they need basic rack & stack experience or at least mechanical aptitude.
  • They should know how to mount 2U devices properly, use cage nuts/rails, work with cable arms, and handle large volumes of RJ45 and power cable connections without creating a mess.
  • Clean cable dressing and following color codes are important.
  • They don’t need to understand networking logic, just how to execute cleanly and consistently
