Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Chaser

Reports to: Delivery Manager

Job Summary

The Chaser supports the sales and service functions of the company by assisting with product delivery, merchandising, in-store marketing, and operational support. The Chaser plays a key role in upholding brand standards, maintaining account relationships, and ensuring that product displays and rotations meet company and vendor guidelines. This is a physically active role requiring flexibility, strong communication, and commitment to customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Sales and Merchandising Support
    • Assist Sales Representatives and Route Assistants with product delivery and in-store merchandising.
    • Stock shelves, coolers, and displays in a visually appealing and organized manner.
    • Pull up specified accounts as scheduled by management, ensuring compliance with product rotation and freshness standards.
    • Follow Anheuser-Busch quality and rotation standards for all assigned accounts.
    • Learn the brands carried by each account and ensure proper product representation and placement.
  2. Account Support
    • Develop familiarity with the layout and display locations within each account.
    • Learn and remember the names of owners and managers in your assigned territory to foster professional relationships.
    • Communicate effectively with store personnel to ensure account satisfaction and report any service issues.
  3. Operational Duties
    • Assist with draft and package beer handling, storage, and display by working alongside Service Representatives.
    • Fill in for Route Assistants when needed, including assisting with full delivery route duties.
    • Support special events and marketing promotions as directed.
  4. Administrative and Communication Responsibilities
    • Attend weekly team and company meetings when requested.
    • Report product or equipment damage immediately to your manager.
    • Follow all company policies and safety procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
    • Maintain open communication with your manager and sales representatives, asking questions when uncertain.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Willingness to learn beer rotation, display, and merchandising standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation.

  • Must wear appropriate uniform and follow safety protocols at all times.
