Job Summary:
Alpha Building Center is a fast-growing company that is looking to further expand our design capability. We are currently seeking a creative individual to fill our hybrid position in our print and estimating Departments. There is currently NO sponsorship for this position.
This position includes the design of prints as well as estimates for a variety of buildings, most of these projects are agricultural or residential. This position allows an individual the opportunity to connect with the community by actively engaging people interested in a new building project.
Responsibilities:
  • Create plans/prints based on sketches/ideas.
  • Discuss project details with customers and co-workers.
  • Guide customers through the design process.
  • Create Material list estimates based on sketches/prints.
  • Request special order material pricing from vendors

Qualifications:
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be able to communicate well with co-workers and customers.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to navigate POS system and prepare quotes.
  • Schedule appointments for consultations from daily store traffic.
  • Must be available to work until 4:30pm weekdays.
  • Need to be vigilant to complete required tasks in a timely manner.
  • Must have good organizational skills.
  • Excellent follow-up skills to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
  • Experience in interior design OR sales for other home improvement/design product lines.

Experience:
  • Construction: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Sketchup / CAD: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Smartbuild: 1 year (Preferred)
  • MiTek: 1 year (Preferred)
