Job description

Salary: Commensurate with experience Organizational Description

The Black Business Alliance Peoria Chapter, Inc. (BBA) is a nonprofit organization formed in 2013. Under the BBA umbrella are WPNV 106.3 LP FM, the Minority Business Development Center which operates the Regional Workforce Solutions Center. The BBA is focused on innovative ways to grow minority businesses and a skilled workforce. Our mission is to educate and empower those wishing to achieve and maintain financial independence for themselves and their community.

Job Summary

Responsible for but not limited to overseeing and coordinating specific projects to ensure business goals and grant requirements are met. Building long-term goals for company projects, carrying out client support services, intake and assessment of clientsโ€™ needs, data management and reporting, advising, registration, and training of grant funded individuals. Make ongoing referrals to partner organizations and meet program and contract enrollment and outcome goals.

Job Duties
  • Design a program that meets client goals.
  • Direct the activities of the specified program.
  • Create assessment tool to identify needed education or training.
  • Conduct assessment of those interested in the specified program.
  • Utilize education and training needs matrix.
  • Coordinates training needs calendar.
  • Maintain records of participants employment data upon program completion.
  • Establish and maintain program metrics.
  • Creating and managing long-term goals.
  • Develop an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure goals are met in customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials and update social media accounts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education/Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources, or related experience required.
  • Post-secondary education in business, IT or office management is an asset.
  • 2+ yearsโ€™ experience in a supervisory role
  • Punctuality, integrity, and critical-thinking skills are crucial to success in this position.
  • Extraordinary people skills
Required Knowledge
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Quick Books, Outlook E-mail, Internet usage
  • Computer literacy

Requirements
  • Must have a valid Driverโ€™s license, acceptable driving record, and deemed insurable.
