Houston, TX Area

$42–$45/hour + 100% Employer Paid Health Insurance

We are partnering with a highly specialized precision manufacturing company that supports customers across Aerospace, SpaceX, Oil & Gas, Automotive, and international industrial markets.

This is not a high-volume production environment where you inspect the same part repeatedly every day.

This is a high-mix, precision-focused operation where quality matters more than speed. Their shop is clean, air-conditioned, highly organized, and built around long-term quality performance.

They are seeking a Quality Inspection Lead to step into a critical role as a long-tenured employee prepares for retirement after 16 years.

This position serves as a key checkpoint before products move to customers and will play a major role in maintaining quality standards across complex machined and welded components.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • $42–$45/hour compensation
  • 100% employer-paid health insurance
  • Clean, air-conditioned facility
  • Work with Aerospace, SpaceX, and Oil & Gas customers
  • Modern inspection equipment
  • High variety of parts and projects
  • Quality-focused environment (not chaotic production pressure)
  • Stable leadership team

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform First Article Inspections on machined components

  • Ensure quality documentation remains accurate and audit-ready
  • Work closely with machining, production, and leadership teams
  • Serve as a critical final checkpoint before products ship to customers

Equipment / Technical Environment

Experience with the following is highly preferred:

  • CMM equipment
  • Optical comparators

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong quality inspection experience in manufacturing environments
  • First Article Inspection experience is required
  • Experience writing NCRs
  • Experience managing calibrations
  • Ability to read blueprints and dimensional drawings
  • Strong computer/documentation skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-starter mentality

Preferred Background

Experience in any of the following environments is highly valued:

  • Aerospace
  • Oil & Gas
  • Medical device
  • Automotive
  • Precision machining
  • Small machine shops/job shops

Machining experience is helpful but not required.

Work Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts
  • 1-hour lunch break
  • Two 15-minute breaks

The environment is structured, organized, and intentionally focused on quality over speed.

Ideal Candidate

You’ll thrive here if you enjoy:

  • precision work
  • accountability
  • autonomy
  • problem solving
  • working in smaller teams
  • high standards without unnecessary chaos
