Job description

At DuPont, our purpose is to empower the world with essential innovations to thrive. We work on things that matter. Whether it’s providing clean water to more than a billion people on the planet, producing materials that are essential in everyday technology devices from smartphones to electric vehicles, or protecting workers around the world. Discover the many reasons the world’s most talented people are choosing to work at DuPont. Why Join Us | DuPont Careers

About the Role

DuPont is seeking a strategic growth leader to accelerate profitable growth across non-retail channels within our Home Improvement business. This role will identify market opportunities, prioritize customer and channel investments, and develop growth strategies that expand market share and contractor adoption across distribution, specialty dealers, industrial/MRO, and emerging channels.

The successful candidate will combine market insight, customer engagement, and commercial strategy to determine where DuPont should compete, where to invest, and how to win in non-retail markets.

Location: Wilmington, DE or Midland, MI (hybrid, 4 days a week in the office)

Travel: up to 25%

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the non-retail growth strategy for the Home Improvement portfolio.
  • Assess market opportunities, customer segments, and channel priorities.
  • Conduct market research, VOC activities, competitive analysis, and market sizing.
  • Build business cases, growth forecasts, and strategic recommendations.
  • Identify and prioritize distributors, contractors, specialty dealers, and channel partners.
  • Lead contractor-focused demand generation and market development initiatives.
  • Partner with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and Business Leadership to drive growth.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities.
  • Ensure alignment between retail and non-retail growth strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Science, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in strategy, marketing, sales, business development, or product management.
  • Experience in construction, building materials, home improvement, industrial, MRO, or related industries.
  • Experience working with distributors, contractors, dealers, or channel partners.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and commercial acumen.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leaders.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Business development and growth strategy experience.
  • Experience leading market development and customer segmentation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and capture new growth opportunities.
Success in This Role

You will help answer four critical questions:

  • How large is the non-retail opportunity for our portfolio?
  • Which customers, channels, and segments should we prioritize?
  • How do we gain profitable market share?
  • How do we accelerate growth while strengthening the overall Home Improvement business?

This role is responsible for defining and executing the strategy that enables DuPont Home Improvement to win in non-retail channels and drive sustainable, profitable growth.
