  • Base Salary: Commensurate with experience, qualifications, and market alignment

  • Leadership & Team Structure: This position reports to EVP of Revenue Strategy.
  • Hotel Portafolio: Oversight of 5-10 hotels across the United States, with a primary focus on the West Coast and Texas markets. Ability to effectively support and adapt to the operational, sales, and strategic needs of hotels throughout the U.S. portfolio.
  • Independent Contributor Role: This position does not have direct reports (including administrative support, analysts, or coordinators). The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient, hands-on professional who can effectively manage priorities, execute projects independently, and drive results with minimal oversight.

Position Summary: The Area Director of Revenue Strategy will work to identify and maximize all potential revenue opportunities for the complex. This role will provide direction and support to property teams in the maximization of topline revenue/profit and market share through leadership in the revenue strategy processes associated with inventory management, pricing, demand projections and revenue forecasting. The position is responsible for data analysis and the development of revenue strategies in accordance with the Revenue Strategy KPI strategic plan and annual operating plan for the hotel.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct commercial strategy for a cluster 8 hotels.
  • Lead weekly commercial strategy meetings (virtually)
  • Communicate and track efficacy of strategy shifts to relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure hotel rates/inventory strategies align with property goals and effectively maximize market share potential
  • Forecast by segment, by day on a 30-60-90 level based on published schedule or as needed
  • Lead topline budget by segment, by day (annually); present budget with accompanying strategies to corporate and ownership groups
  • Manage rooms inventory, channel mix, and parity to accurately and effectively yield revenues
  • Maintain accurate PMS, RMS, CRS information/data
  • Understand and align with local market dynamics, including demand generators, partner market/account managers, OTAs, etc.
  • Work closely with group sales team to ensure sales SOPs are followed as it relates to inventory/yield management. Oversee group pricing strategy setup for a minimum 2 rolling years.

Qualifications:
  • At least five (5) years of total hotel revenue management experience required
  • Professional working knowledge of Branded Hotels such as Marriott, Hilton strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with digital marketing efforts: paid media, OTA placement/content, booking engine design, etc
  • High-level expertise with third party analytics (Amadeus, Lighthouse, etc)

Requirements:
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Multi-property role in revenue manager for at least 3 years of revenue experience
  • Multiple brand experience required
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Top 25 MSA experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of reservations, revenue, front office, sales & catering systems and industry systems (STR, TravelClick, Sales Systems, Knowland, Kalibri, etc.)
  • Ability to evaluate business trends and communicate recommendations
  • Knowledge of Digital Marketing
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Work successfully with proactive sales team
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Travel required as needed

Physical Requirements (In-Office Role)
  • Ability to work in a standard office environment.
