Advertised Compensation: $18.17 an hour + 3% commision 

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

To take responsibility for and contribute to the efficient and effective running of the CHANEL account, promoting business objectives as appropriate and actively working towards achievement of personal and team targets, always providing excellent customer service.

REQUIREMENTS -

  • Two to Five years of experience in retail sales performing as a sales associate for fragrances and beauty products. 
  • Fluent speaker: English & Spanish. Ideally: Mandarin.
  • Adaptability to flexible shifts (AM, PM), Saturdays and/or Sundays -
  • Knowledgeable in makeup and skincare application techniques. -
  • Proactive and autodidact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Customer Service and Selling - To provide outstanding customer service by identifying customer needs as well as further sales opportunities. - To ensure that the best levels of customer care are always offered, offering all customers the opportunity to join the customer database and always keeping the information confidential. - Continuously work towards achieving and exceeding set retail sales goals, using links and knowledge of CHANEL products specificities, to introduce further products and achieve cross-selling between family products - To develop strong interaction and empower customer, to create differentiation and uniqueness as a brand - To identify customer profile and needs, to be able to propose and sell newness for the 3 axes: Skincare, Makeup, & Fragrances. 

2. Technical Skills and Administration - To continuously assist in the analysis of sales results to recognize areas of opportunity and growth to build and impact on the overall business - To help build the account by achieving and exceeding sales targets, developing the business to increase sales volume and productivity. - To ensure expert makeovers are offered and applied to CHANEL customers, meeting the required standards as well as demonstrating the necessary skill and variety in makeup technique - Ensure expert Skincare diagnoses are provided, meeting the required standards, and that in-depth information regarding fragrance products is provided as appropriate - Assist with Chanel stock control and inventory management, including stocking shelves with merchandise, receiving, and storing the delivery of large amounts of stock, with an emphasis on asset protection. - Carefully manage the testers & samples so they are used in the proper way and be sure to communicate when replenish is needed.

3. Personal Effectiveness, Motivation and Presentation - To demonstrate enthusiasm for selling, flair for the product and excitement for providing customer satisfaction - To present an appropriate appearance, ensuring that personal make up is to CHANEL standards, demonstrating current trends and adhering to the uniform and always grooming (hair & nails) policy. - Encourage and maintain a clean, tidy, hygienic, and professional work area, always reflecting merchandising standards and guidelines - To successfully complete the CHANEL Induction as well as any further training (virtual and on site) provided as appropriate, and complete all available courses in the Inside Beauty app - - Ensure that presentation of Chanel products is visually appealing and merchandised in a manner that maximizes sales, following brands guidelines. - Ensure items are correctly priced and keeps the shop layout in line with the direction of the brands guidelines and aligned with the store requirements.

4. Teamwork, Communication and Relationships - To actively support and contribute to the success of the team, demonstrating and encouraging reliability and flexibility as the business demands - Communicate, contribute to, and share relevant and approved information with colleagues as well as provide assistance and information as appropriate to all other departments and levels Updated May 2014 - To contribute positively as appropriate in team meetings, trainings, and briefings - Maintain confidentiality of information when required by your trainer and supervisor.

5. Probatory 3-month period: - Be able to communicate fluidly in English - Ensure expert makeovers are offered and applied to CHANEL customers - Ensure expert Skincare diagnoses are provided, meeting the required standards, and that in-depth information regarding fragrance products is provided as appropriate - Complete all the courses available in the Inside Beauty app - Achieve sales goals established by the Sales department - Have an impeccable grooming with the correct uniform - Maintain the boutique up to date with the correct stock replenishment and latest planograms - Maintain a clean, tidy, hygienic boutique, always reflecting merchandising standards and guidelines
