Job description

Park Avenue Securities strives to offer a comprehensive platform to support wealth management needs of Guardian policy holders and clients and to enable Field Representatives to serve as The Trusted Advisor to their clients. Through continued growth and creation of client and advisor solutions, we aim to help Field Representatives grow and diversify their practices, clients, and income streams.
The Jr. Advisory Specialist is an integral part of Park Avenue Securities. Reporting to the Head of Wealth Specialists, who in turn reports to the Head of Business Development, you will provide individual FRs Advisory Product solutions to specific client situations leveraging their understanding of the available On Platform products or TAMP solutions that are available via Park Avenue Securities.
You are

  • Is able to collaborate in a team environment.

You will
  • Be responsible for product questions/solutioning, introduction of new products, case design, proposals, delivery of product education, and execution of Go-To-Market strategies.
  • Work closely with the Sr Advisory Specialists and Advisory Specialists to support their efforts, focusing on the overall growth of the Advisory business in the agencies within their assigned territory.
  • Analyze investment portfolios, develop investment strategy proposals, communicate investment product objectives, portfolio strategies, basic financial planning concepts and investment knowledge.
  • With overall Business Development team to implement and execute communications, campaigns, and growth plans within sales territory.
  • Help identify and communicate sales opportunities to registered reps.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on wealth management products.
  • Conduct consultative and educational sales calls and presentations to registered reps.
  • Document Field interactions in wholesaler CRM.
  • Deliver case design, strategy, competitive intelligence, pricing, and point-of-sale as needed to Sr. Advisory and Advisory Specialists.
  • Proactively support driving growth of Advisory related PAS strategic partnerships including Investment Specialists.

You have
  • Strong advisor management skills.
  • Ability to support case design and proposal.
  • Desire to drive results and sales growth.
  • Broad-based industry and product knowledge.
  • Strong consultative skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • 1-3 years overall experience (including above) within the financial services industry.
  • Series 7 required.
  • Series 63/65 or 66; required.
  • Thorough knowledge of Wealth Management business
  • Working knowledge of industry leading Money Managers (Blackrock, Fidelity, etc.).
  • Thorough knowledge of Broker/Dealer products including; Advisory platforms, Mutual Funds, Variable Annuities, Fixed and Index Annuities, Stocks, Bonds, ETFs, 401k, etc.
  • Strong tech-skills including; MS Office, Zoom and/or Teams, Co-Pilot, proposal software, CRM, etc.
  • Good phone-based skills, articulate, polite, confident, able to establish relationships with the Field.

Preferred Qualifications
  • GIAC Fixed Annuities knowledge
  • Netx360, Envestnet, Salesforce/SmartOffice, Albridge, and Morningstar, a plus.
  • Professional designations such as CFP; AIF preferred.
  • Sales Desk and/or Internal wholesaling or financial retail sales a plus (in Wealth Management).
  • Experience in field training and presenting to small/large groups via Zoom/Teams a plus.
  • Life/Health insurance Licenses; preferred.

Salary Range:
$70,930.00 - $106,390.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
