Who Are We Looking For?

We are seeking a highly motivated Certified Flight Instructor willing to take that extra step. The ideal candidate is someone who can "teach by example", fostering United's CORE4 values.

Eligibility:

  • Must be complete with all student training
  • CFI's have to fulfill the following requirements to be eligible for a "Specific Authorization" in accordance with FCL.900.c
  • 500hrs total time in an airplane
  • 200hrs dual given
  • 200hrs instrument time. (less the 200hrs may be acceptable if at least 50hrs were flown after the initial IR checkride)
  • Must be in good standing

*Instrument time includes the following:

  • Any instrument time flown during training (simulated or actual on an IFR flight plan)
  • Any instrument time flown as a CFII (IR dual given on flight following or on an actual flight plan)
  • Any commercial IFR XC if flown under the following or on an IFR flight plan
  • 50hrs may be instrumental ground time if in a FFS, FTD 2/3, FNPT II (as a student pilot)
  • If instrumental time is less than 200hrs, please indicate the hours flown after your own initial IR check. (Simulated or actual on an IFR Flight Plan)
