Many remote CFA jobs are found in asset management, investment banking, financial consulting, and fintech industries. Technology and virtual collaboration tools enable CFAs to perform their responsibilities effectively without being physically present in an office.

Job description

Job description

We are not your typical transaction advisory firm. This is a high-agency role where you'll run deals, own findings, and present to sophisticated buyers, sellers, and capital partners. Our clients are entrepreneurs, business owners, and investors who need CPA support for a contemplated acquisition or sale.

The leadership team works alongside you, not above you.

Compensation reflects output and performance, structured in ways most traditional transaction firms don't offer.

This is a founder led firm in growth mode, built for people who think like owners and entrepreneurs.

Company Description

OAG M&A Transaction Services | O'Connell Advisory Group is a team of CPA M&A advisors specializing in financial due diligence, acquisition advisory, quality of earnings, valuations, and transaction support for privately owned businesses in the lower middle market.

With over $900 million in transactions completed, OAG serves entrepreneurs, private equity firms, family offices, and private investors. The firm focuses on enabling clients in B2B services, manufacturing, government contracting, and tech-enabled services, with businesses generating $1M-$4M in annual EBITDA. OAG's customized solutions aim to reduce risk, enhance transaction value, and provide actionable insights to help clients achieve their financial and strategic goals.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Manager, Transaction Advisory Services. The responsibilities include leading and managing financial due diligence engagements, conducting quality of earnings and net working capital analyses, and supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities. The role also involves reviewing financial documents, identifying key financial trends, and communicating insights to stakeholders. Additionally, the manager will collaborate with clients to ensure alignment on strategic goals and provide advice that minimizes risk and maximizes transaction value.

Qualifications

  • 7 - 12 + years of relevant experience in conducting Transaction Advisory & Financial Due Diligence work.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, accrual accounting, and common EBITDA adjustments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required; CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency, including data manipulation and financial modeling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to simplify complex topics for clients.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and client service orientation.
  • Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate financial data and identify trends and potential risks.
  • Expertise in Finance, including financial modeling and understanding of financial statements.
  • Technical proficiency in Due Diligence and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) processes.
  • Solid knowledge of Accounting principles and practices.
  • Effective communication skills to present findings and insights clearly to clients and team members.
  • Proven ability to lead projects, manage cross-functional teams, and work independently in a remote setting.
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
  • Experience in private equity, transaction advisory services, or investment banking.
