Overview

A fast-growing, early-stage investment platform is seeking a Head of Distribution to build and scale the investor distribution engine for a tax-efficient exchange fund focused on concentrated equity diversification.

This is a founding-level role responsible for driving capital formation, developing strategic investor relationships, and growing assets under management (AUM). The ideal candidate is a proven capital raiser with direct experience working with family offices, RIAs, and accredited investors, and a strong understanding of exchange fund structures and tax-efficient diversification strategies.


Key ResponsibilitiesDistribution Strategy & Capital Raising
  • Design and execute the exchange fund distribution strategy from the ground up.
  • Build and activate relationships with family offices, RIAs, and accredited investors.
  • Drive capital inflows and directly contribute to AUM growth.
  • Develop pipeline strategy, advisor segmentation, and investor acquisition channels.
Investor Relationships & Onboarding
  • Own the investor lifecycle from initial outreach through allocation and onboarding.
  • Present the exchange fund structure and value proposition to sophisticated investors.
  • Support investor onboarding and ongoing engagement.
Platform Partnerships
  • Develop relationships with alternative investment platforms and distribution channels.
  • Identify and secure partnerships to expand investor access.
Product & Go-To-Market Collaboration
  • Partner with leadership on fund positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy.
Founding-Level Execution
  • Operate with high autonomy in a startup environment.
  • Develop and present a 90-day execution plan, including pipeline strategy and allocation targets.
  • Contribute to broader business growth initiatives.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in wealth management, alternative investments, institutional fundraising, or investor distribution.
  • Proven track record of personally raising capital (not solely as part of a team effort).
  • Existing, activatable network of:
    • Family Offices
    • Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs)
    • Accredited Investors
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Exchange funds
    • Concentrated stock strategies
    • Tax-efficient diversification structures
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and closing skills.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Series 65 license.
  • Experience with alternative investment platforms or wealth-tech ecosystems.
  • Background in venture capital, private equity, or real asset fundraising.
  • Familiarity with:
    • Reg D 506(c) offerings
    • 721 / 1031 exchange structures
    • Qualified Opportunity Zones
  • Series 7 and/or Series 24 licenses.
  • CFA, CAIA, or CFP designation.

Additional Requirements
  • Miami, FL location is preferred but not required.
  • Comfortable with frequent travel for investor meetings, conferences, and relationship-building activities.
  • Ability to develop and present a clear 90-day distribution and fundraising plan.
