Yourmissions :
Location: Lenexa, KS
Job Summary and Purpose:
Supports the maintenance team by performing basic building and mechanical maintenance tasks. This includes assisting with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general facility upkeep. The role is designed for individuals beginning their maintenance careers, with opportunities to learn and grow under the guidance of more experienced technicians.
Responsibilities and Key Duties:
General Maintenance Support
• Assist in performing routine preventive maintenance tasks such as inspecting belts, gears, wiring, and controls.
• Respond to basic maintenance requests and escalate complex issues to senior technicians.
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• All other duties as assigned
Utilities and Equipment Maintenance
• Support the installation and maintenance of utility equipment under supervision.
• Replace HVAC filters and assist with basic HVAC maintenance.
• Perform simple repairs on production and lab equipment such as coolers, freezers, and incubators.
• Assist with daily rounds and inspections of mechanical rooms and production areas.
Diagnostics and Troubleshooting
• Learn to analyze and diagnose basic mechanical and electrical issues.
• Assist in reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders.
• Support emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance activities.
Communication and Documentation
• Communicate equipment issues to the Maintenance Supervisor or senior technicians.
• Complete basic work orders and maintenance logs accurately.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

Education:

• Trade school coursework or certification in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems is a plus.
Work Experience:
- 1+ years of experience in a maintenance or facilities support role preferred
- Internship or hands-on training in a technical field is beneficial.
Other:
• Ability to read, write legibly and communicate in English
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.
• Outdoor work may be required with exposure to all potential weather conditions.
