Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, customize, and enhance applications on the Nasdaq Calypso platform.
  • Develop and maintain Calypso customizations, extensions, and integrations.
  • Build and support Calypso APIs and interfaces with internal and external systems.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Develop scalable applications using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
  • Integrate enterprise applications using MQ messaging services.
  • Design, optimize, and maintain Oracle and PostgreSQL database objects, queries, and stored procedures.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
  • Follow Agile development practices and contribute throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Capital Markets application development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with the Nasdaq Calypso platform.
  • Expertise in Calypso customization, extension development, and platform architecture.
  • Experience developing and integrating Calypso APIs.
  • Strong programming skills in Java and J2EE.
  • Experience with Spring Boot, IBM WebSphere, and MQ messaging.
  • Strong SQL development experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of OTC Derivatives products and trade lifecycle.
  • Experience with software development best practices, code reviews, and version control.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience integrating Calypso with enterprise trading and risk management systems.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Knowledge of financial messaging standards and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Calypso or Capital Markets certifications are a plus.
