Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Java (21 preferred) and Spring Boot
Implement secure APIs using Spring Security with JWT/OAuth2-based authentication and authorization
Apply microservices design patterns to build resilient, scalable, and maintainable systems
Deploy and manage containerized services on Azure using AKS and/or ACA
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
Collaborate with architects and DevOps teams to deploy and manage services on cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred)
Write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using YAML/Terraform for provisioning and automation
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and ensure adherence to best coding practices
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
Work in an Agile environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams
Required Skills
Core Java: Strong fundamentals - OOP concepts, exception handling, multithreading
Java Collections Framework: Deep understanding of List, Set, Map, and their implementations
Functional Programming: Lambdas, Streams API, Optional, method references
Modern Java Features (Java 17-21): Records, sealed classes, pattern matching, switch expressions, virtual threads (Project Loom)
Spring Boot: Building REST APIs, dependency injection, Spring Data JPA
Microservices Architecture: Service decomposition, inter-service communication, API Gateway, service discovery, circuit breaker patterns (e.g., Resilience4j)
Spring Security: Implementing authentication/authorization using JWT and OAuth2
Microservices Design Patterns: Saga, CQRS, API Gateway, Circuit Breaker, Event-Driven Architecture
Cloud Fundamentals: Understanding of cloud computing basics; hands-on exposure to Azure preferred (AWS/GCP also considered)
Cloud Services: Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Container Apps (ACA) for deploying and managing containerized microservices
Infrastructure as Code: Working knowledge of YAML; Terraform preferred
CI/CD: Hands-on knowledge of GitHub Actions for build, test, and deployment pipelines
Good to Have
