Job description

Summary: Join a dedicated healthcare team as an Advanced Monitor Technician responsible for continuous cardiac rhythm observation in a specialized stepdown unit. This role involves vigilant telemetry monitoring and timely communication with nursing staff to ensure patient safety and care quality.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry consoles attentively.
  • Alert nursing personnel promptly in response to rhythm changes or equipment alarms.
  • Document and print cardiac strip assessments regularly, including admission, code events, and rhythm changes.
  • Contribute positively to patient satisfaction, throughput, and overall hospital functionality.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations.
Education and Training:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • EKG certification preferred.
  • Healthcare experience such as Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Medical Technician is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
  • Completion of a Dysrhythmia class and passing the associated test within 60 days of employment is mandatory unless exempted by prior certification or experience.
  • Ongoing requirement to pass advanced dysrhythmia testing biannually.
