What is the job?

The Role

The Material Handler is responsible for all aspects of unloading raw material and the loading of finished goods. This role will report to the Logistics Manager but will work closely alongside Warehouse Lead and across other departments.

Shift: 2/2/3 Schedule 12PM-12AM for at least the next 6 month, eventually will be Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Safely operate a forklift.

• Loading and Unloading Material (53’ vans) from a dock.

• Load and unload trucks based off pick documents and bills of lading

• Assist with the monthly cycle count as required

• Follows the Logistics Standard Operating Procedures Support and Maintain proper inventory and adherence to FIFO principles

• Provides high level Service to Customers and Transportation providers

• Responsible for performing SMAT observations and submitting of required concerned reports

• Utilize 5-S in maintaining warehouse and office areas

• Ability to safely lift, carry and stack up to 50 lbs

• Show initiative through continuous improvement in safety, quality and efficiency of the department by communication

• Potential travel to off-site warehouse

• Other duties as assigned

What do you bring?

• High School Diploma/GED

• 1-2 Years minimum Forklift Operating Experience (Preferred)

• Current Forklift License (Preferred)

• Warehouse Management System Experience preferred / Computer Literacy required

• Good working knowledge of Warehouse/Shipping policies, procedures.

• Good oral communication skills

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent Attendance Practices Required
