To thrive as a Swine Farmer, you need hands-on experience in animal husbandry, knowledge of swine health management, and often a background in agriculture or veterinary science. Familiarity with farm management software, biosecurity protocols, and feeding or breeding technologies is typically required. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication help you manage livestock and coordinate with team members. These competencies ensure healthy herds, efficient operations, and compliance with industry standards, which are crucial for a profitable and sustainable swine farming business.

Pig farm workers often encounter challenges such as maintaining animal health, ensuring proper sanitation, and managing physically demanding tasks like feeding and cleaning.
