Job description

Xcite Automotive is seeking an Automotive Sr Detailer for our partner dealers in Panama City, FL! 

Job Description: As a Sr Detailer at Xcite Automotive, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality interior and exterior automotive detailing services while helping maintain dealership-ready vehicle standards in a fast-paced production environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring quality, efficiency, and consistency across daily detailing operations. 

The ideal candidate is experience in paint correction, polishing, and reconditioning processes and takes pride in producing exceptional results under tight turnaround timelines. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced interior and exterior detailing services, including washing, clay bar treatment, buffing, polishing, waxing, shampooing, and stain removal. 
  • Execute paint correction techniques such as compounding, polishing, and swirl removal to restore vehicle appearance. 
  • Conduct final quality control inspections to ensure all vehicles meet company dealership standards prior to delivery. 
  • Safely move, park, and stage vehicles throughout dealership and lot environments. 
  • Train, mentor, and support junior detailers on detailing procedures, efficiency standards, and quality expectations. 
  • Maintain proper handling and use of detailing chemicals, tools, equipment, and safety procedures. 
  • Ensure daily production goals, turnaround times, and workflow expectations are consistently achieved. 
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding workflow challenges, delays, vehicle issues, or operational concerns. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times. 
  • Support ship operations and assist team members as needed to maintain productivity and service quality.

Must-Have Qualifications / Must-Haves 

  • 3+ years of professional automotive detailing experience. 
  • Strong hands-on experience with buffing, polishing, and paint correction techniques. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven dealership or reconditioning environment. 
  • Comfortable performing physical labor, including standing, bending, lifting, and moving vehicles throughout the day. 
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. 
  • Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles. 
  • High attention to detail with consistent quality workmanship. 
  • Reliable transportation and strong work ethic. 
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to lead by example. 

Preferred Qualifications / Nice-to-Haves 

  • Previous experience in a lead or detailing role. 
  • Experience working in dealership or high-volume automotive reconditioning environments. 
  • Knowledge of ceramic coatings or advanced protection systems. 
  • Familiarity with inventory tracking, workflow coordination, or production scheduling. 
  • Experience training or mentoring junior detailers or new hires. 
  • Strong time-management and problem solving skills.
