Job Summary

The Security Analyst - Locksmith provides crucial security support for Centrus Energy Corp. (Centrus) and American Centrifuge Operation, LLC (ACO). This role delivers hands-on technical expertise for security operations and ensures compliance with established programs, policies, and regulatory requirements. Assigned primarily to locksmith responsibilities across all Centrus corporate sites, this position requires strong mechanical aptitude and exceptional organizational skills, particularly in managing detailed documentation.

What You Will Do:

In this role, the Security Analyst - Locksmith manages monthly, semiannual, and annual inventories for the lock and key program while building, configuring, and maintaining locks, cores, and keys across all Centrus corporate sites. The position supports the Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) program by creating and labeling highcontrol safety locks, keys, and cores and coordinating closely with site Safety. This role maintains detailed records and documentation, ensures regulatory compliance for security containers and storage areas, tracks container movements, and completes required repairs. The Security Analyst completes all required locksmithing and securityrelated training courses and may conduct selfassessments, audits, or risk analyses. Additional responsibilities include supporting the implementation of Centrus and ACO policies, performing security inspections on doors and security features, and providing clear guidance and customer service regarding security processes. The position assists in developing, updating, and maintaining procedures, registry sheets, and database information, tracks security commitments and corrective actions through a webbased system, and responds to emergency repair callins as needed. The role requires obtaining and maintaining a "Q" clearance and performing other duties as assigned.

We'd Love to Hear from Candidates With:

  • Associate's degree in security, Engineering, or Physical Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient computer skills, including database operations and familiarity with Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe for record processing and report generation
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to prepare concise technical documents
  • Strong written recordkeeping capabilities

A Successful Candidate Also Brings:

  • Experience working with NRC/DOE or other regulatory agency procedures, policies, and requirements related to lock and key programs
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with NRC and/or DOE personnel

Pay:

Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $64,248-107,080. This position is Bonus eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.  While the posted range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position, compensation above the range may be considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant experience.

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.

We prohibit discrimination against qualified individuals based on their status as protected veterans or individuals with disabilities and prohibit discrimination against all individuals based on their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or national origin.

This position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance. Candidates for positions requiring a security clearance are required to be tested for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR 707.4 prior to an offer of employment being made.  In addition, once employed, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.  This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government.  Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
