Job description

The shift Leader supports the General Manager in executing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with company policies, service standards, and safety procedures.

Operations Management

• Oversee daily café operations during assigned shifts

• Execute opening and closing procedures in accordance with company standards

• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations

• Ensure adherence to product quality and service standards

Staff Supervision

• Provide direction and oversight to baristas and shift staff

• Support onboarding and training initiatives

• Deliver coaching and performance feedback

• Monitor adherence to scheduling, attendance, and workplace policies

Scheduling & Coverage

• Assist with staff scheduling and shift assignments

• Manage call-outs and coverage needs according to company procedures

Customer Service

• Address and resolve customer concerns in a timely and professional manner

• Escalate significant issues to the General Manager as appropriate

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in coffee shop

• Prior supervisory or leadership experience

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing and walking

• Ability to lift up to approximately 25–40 lbs
