Centria Jobs in California (NOW HIRING)

Centria information

What is a Centria?

Centria is not typically recognized as a standalone job title. However, Centria Healthcare is a well-known company, primarily offering autism therapy and healthcare services. In this context, a job at Centria may refer to roles such as Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where employees work with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. These roles focus on helping clients develop communication, social, and daily living skills. Employees often receive training and support to provide high-quality care in homes, clinics, or community settings.

What does a behavioral technician at Centria do?

As a Behavioral Technician at Centria Autism, your main responsibilities involve working directly with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder to implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). You'll collect data on client progress, ensure sessions remain engaging, and adapt to client needs during each session. Collaboration is key—you'll work closely with BCBAs, caregivers, and sometimes other therapists to communicate observations and support the client's developmental goals. This teamwork-focused environment allows for regular feedback and growth opportunities, making it both rewarding and dynamic.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a behavioral technician at Centria?

To thrive as a Behavior Technician at Centria, you need a high school diploma or equivalent, foundational knowledge in applied behavior analysis (ABA), and experience working with children, especially those with autism spectrum disorder. Familiarity with data collection systems, ABA therapy software, and completion of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification are typically required. Patience, strong communication skills, and adaptability are crucial for effectively supporting clients and collaborating with families and supervisors. These skills ensure quality care, accurate implementation of therapy plans, and positive outcomes for clients.
