Job description

Position Description: Position: ELECTRICAL ASSEMBLY LEAD
Location: Schaumburg IL few weeks then move to Huntley.
Perform wiring and assembly operations involving highly intricate and precise apparatus on custom electrical assemblies such as centralized control panels requiring strict inspection requirements and critical operational tolerances.
Plan assembling and wiring procedures; assign, instruct, and check work of Electrical assemblers of lower classifications.
Plan and lay out work for best workmanship and results. Install all types of apparatus such as controls, relays, compensators, capacitor, breakers, etc. Select, cut, form and install wiring in accordance with specifications.
Assemble intricate electrical units incidental to final assemblies.
May assist with or perform testing operations on unit sections and complete assemblies.
Calibrate and regulate units and final assemblies to meet load capacities and operating requirements.
Work from extensive wiring diagrams, specifications and layouts.
Use a variety of electrical testing and gauging devices and equipment.
Proceed with minimum supervision and directions.
This job requires the use of hand and power tools, fork truck, overhead cranes and precision measuring devices.
This job requires skill and technique, plus a knowledge of design and electrical principles acquired through vocational training and/or job experience.
This job has a specific vision requirement assembler cannot be color blind. Attention to detail is a must.
This position also includes assisting the Controls Engineer with updating schematics using Auto Cad, BOM revisions and updating.
This is a full time, non-exempt position.


$20.00 - $25.00 Hourly
