Job description

Sandalwood Management is seeking a Porterย to support the maintenance and make-ready teamย with maintaining both interior and exterior grounds of the property and cleaning and preparing vacant units at Tapestry Centerpoint in San Marcos, TX.ย 

The Maid/Porter supports the maintenance and make-ready team to help keep property up to Sandalwood standards by tending to the grounds of the property, assisting in preparing apartments and complete resident service requests. This is a fast-paced environment that demands attention to detail, hard work and the highest level of customer service.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Maintain both interior and exterior grounds of the property to company standards
  • Clean and prepare vacant units for resident move-ins
  • Using personal protective equipment, preform cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, washing windows, cleaning mirrors, scrubbing, vacuuming, cleaning carpets and stains
  • Cleaning and sanitizing toilets, showers/bathtubs, countertops, sinks and kitchen area
  • Cleaning, stocking and upkeeping the leasing office, property's clubhouse, public restrooms and other shared areas
  • Emptying trash and recycling receptacles and disposing of waste properly
  • Maintain community appearance by regularly inspecting and touring the property. Report any concerns or hazardous conditions immediately and other needed repairs/maintenance to the Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager
  • Gather and remove litter, trash and other items that do not belong on property
  • Work with maintenance team, contractors, vendors and other affiliates in preparation of units and grounds
  • Assist in making vacant apartments ready for new resident including but not limited to painting, carpet cleaning, repairs, etc.
  • Perform any and all duties called upon by supervisors to ensure that property operates in an efficient and economic manner
  • Respond to all request and inquiries in a prompt and courteous manner

WHAT WE NEED:

1+ years of experience
Valid driver's license, required
Ability to work on-call, evenings and weekends
Successfully pass pre-employment background check and drug test
Smart phone

COMPENSATION:

Negotiable, depending on experience
