Day to day as a Cemetery Laborer
As a Permanent Part-Time Cemetery Laborer at American Fork City, you will engage in a variety of essential field duties that ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our cemetery. Your responsibilities will include lawn cutting and trimming, digging and marking graves, and installing headstones, all while developing new sections of the cemetery. You will assist with funerals by directing processions and coordinating activities, providing valuable support to grieving families. Operating various equipment such as backhoes, dump trucks, and lawn mowers, you will also perform routine maintenance and repairs on these machines. Additionally, you will oversee the watering and aeration of cemetery turf, manage the automated sprinkler systems, and carry out seasonal duties like snow removal and winterizing sprinkler systems.
