Job Summary
A Ready-Mix Truck Operator is responsible for operating a concrete truck that is used for
delivering, mixing and pouring on-demand. The operator is also responsible for assisting with the
loading process of sand and aggregate via a front-end loader, filling the water tank, and/or blowing
cement from an onsite silo or trailer into the cement bin. Daily cleaning and greasing of the truck are
required along with other preventative maintenance activities. In most circumstances you will be our
company representative on site and should conduct yourself with courteous, professional and a safety
orientated demeanor at all times.


Duties and Job Expectations
ยท Delivery Tickets must be signed by the customer, retain the white tickets and give them to the plant
manager.
ยท Operate mixer to produce concrete from sand, gravel, cement, and water. Adjusted slump must be
approved by geo-tech representative and customer. (15 Gallon max of water)
ยท Assemble chutes and operate levers to release concrete per customer request.
ยท Clean truck after loading and after each delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and
on truck surfaces.
ยท Perform pre-trip and post-trip truck DOT inspections.
ยท Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or coolant and performing minor
repairs. (As needed)
ยท Utilize Whip Around inspections to report repairs issues and maintenance problems.
ยท Drivers are expected to grease the trucks daily.
ยท Monitor truck and company equipment to ensure proper operation and professional appearance.
ยท Spray truck surfaces with protective compounds to resist concrete adhesion and for specialized
cleaning.
ยท Operate equipment, such as truck mixer controls, CB radios, mobile phones, and global positioning
systems (GPS) equipment to exchange necessary information with dispatch, supervisors, or other
drivers.
ยท Follow all applicable state and federal regulations.
ยท Drive trucks to any weigh stations along routes before and after loading and in compliance with
state regulations.
ยท Assist with various plant operations, maintenance and mechanical work as needed.
ยท Occasionally operate and other plant equipment.
ยท At the end of the day every truck is expected to be parked in the company lot with a full tank of fuel,
full tank of DEF and clean.
o You are also required to fill out the daily fuel sheet and turn into the plant manager or
nightly drop box.
ยท Employees are expected to report on time, in full uniform and have all required PPE.
