Your Impact

Pearce Services is seeking a skilled and motivated Traveling HVAC Installer Technician to join our team installing, servicing, and repairing commercial HVAC units on cell phone towers. This is a fast-paced and challenging job that is best suited for individuals who are self-directed, highly motivated, willing to travel, and looking to learn and grow in the Telecom industry. This is a travel position - 90% travel is required for up to three weeks at a time. Candidates should reside in the Fort Wayne or Indianapolis, Indiana area.

Core Responsibilities

  • Installing and replacing components of entire systems of commercial cooling systems on cell tower cooling units
  • Timely and accurate completion of daily reports
  • Driving to remote work sites as needed
  • Performing upgrades on out-of-season equipment
  • Conducting performance checks as required

Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.

Core Experience

  • 1 or more years experience with HVAC maintenance (commercial preferred)
  • 1 or more year of Construction experience will be considered in lieu of HVAC experience
  • Experience with wall-mounted MarvAir, Bard, and MarvAir DAC/WAC direct air-cooling units highly preferred
  • Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems

Physical/Work Environment

At Pearce safety is our number one concern. Candidates must be able to comply with FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA Standards.

  • Candidates should reside in the Fort Wayne or Indianapolis, Indiana area.
  • Travel to remote work sites as needed. 80% Travel Required. Three weeks of travel are required at a time. A per diem will be provided when traveling.

  • Ability to operate a phone, computer, and/or tablet
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Must have the ability to inspect and/or troubleshoot equipment/alarms effectively, both visually and audibly
  • Must have the ability to be on call and travel for work when needed, especially during busy summer months
  • May need to pass DOT physical

Compensation: $18.00-$25.00 hourly/DOE
