Position Overview

Movement System Physical Therapy & Wellness is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in Port Charlotte, FL. In this full-time role, you will have the opportunity to provide expert patient care in an outpatient setting, focusing on improving patient functionality and facilitating recovery. You will be involved in every step of the therapy process, from initial assessments to creating comprehensive treatment plans that address individual mobility challenges.

Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work onsite in our outpatient clinic, which emphasizes collaboration and direct patient interaction. The work schedule will generally be Monday through Friday, with flexible hours available, such as 8 AM to 4 PM, 9 AM to 5 PM, or four 10-hour shifts. Our clinic's close-knit environment fosters teamwork and support, enhancing the overall patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations to identify movement impairments, pain points, and functional limitations, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each patient's needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that integrate evidence-based practices, with a strong focus on patient-centered goals.
  • Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Educate patients and their caregivers about therapeutic exercises, proper body mechanics, and self-management strategies to promote sustained recovery outside the clinical setting.
  • Monitor patient progress throughout the treatment process, making adjustments to therapy plans as necessary and providing feedback to patients and stakeholders.
