We are looking for a talented Cell Culture Process Engineer to join our R&D Strategic Innovation Accelerator team. In this role, you will help drive next-generation biomanufacturing solutions by designing scalable processes and solving complex technical challenges.

This is a fully site-based role. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do
  • Drive innovation in bioprocess development by designing and executing experiments in a state-of-the-art mammalian bioreactor lab environment.
  • Apply scientific and engineering expertise to solve complex challenges using principles of cell biology, biochemistry, mass and energy transfer, and process modeling.
  • Gain hands-on experience with advanced bioprocessing technologies while developing proficiency in bioreactor lab operations, specialized equipment, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with a variety of cross-functional teams to drive impactful innovation across biomanufacturing subspecialties
  • Champion continuous improvements by evaluating equipment, workflow processes, and laboratory systems to drive our lab culture of valuing safety, rigor, and efficiency.
  • Communicate technical insights and project outcomes through presentations, reports, and interactions with internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Take ownership of laboratory operations, leading routine lab activities, maintaining high-quality records, and contributing to technology transfer and process advancement initiatives.
What we are looking for
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in bioprocessing, cell culture, or process development
  • Experience working with bioreactors and upstream process development
  • Working knowledge of downstream processes such as chromatography, filtration, or purification
  • Strong data analysis skills and familiarity with experimental design principles
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and apply engineering concepts in a lab setting
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
