Description:

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: To ensure a quality part is produced, with ZERO Defects, as directed in the part Job Book.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: These are duties that the person holding this job MUST be able to perform. The company makes accommodations on request, if the accommodations are reasonable, to allow otherwise qualified applicants to perform these functions.

  1. Responsible for quality of parts produced, with a goal of ZERO Defects.
  2. Responsible for inspection and measurement of all technical and aesthetic requirements per the control plan.
  3. Responsible for recording all inspection data, as required by control plan, in the SPC database
  4. Responsible for training new Associates and validating the training.
  5. Perform receiving inspections on all audit pass through items (e.g. Centrex, Jeffersonville, Brampton, etc.)
  6. Perform audits of the job books and report any findings to the responsible Quality Engineer.
  7. Complete process audits including but not limited to: Process Deviations, Verify Press Settings, Verify water/cooling, Raw material โ€“ lids are present, contamination in gaylords.
  8. Responsible for completing Start-up/Shutdown checks, including but not limited to: 1st pieces / last piece, Audit shutdown procedure, Process audit at start of machine โ€“ water / cooling.
  9. Responsible for ensuring all correct bar coded shipping label are on containers
  10. Responsible for verification that all previous job material is removed from the cell during changeover including, but not limited to: Old Labels from previous job, Job book from previous job, Inspection and test equipment from previous job
  11. Responsible for managing the nonconformance material reports thru the IQMS Material Review Board (MRB) module, including but not limited to: Initiating, Creating work orders, Follow-thru tasks, Closure
  12. Contact Quality Engineer, if problems arise.
  13. Ensure work areas are clean and that operators are wearing the appropriate PPE
  14. Ensure that all safety standards and procedures are followed.
  15. Ensure that all standard operating procedures and/or work instructions are being followed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency.


TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Revere Plastics Systems Orientation, Quality Orientation


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/TASKS/ABILITIES:

Basic math skills.

Basic reading skills.

Blueprint reading skills

Basic computer skills


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to stand at a machine for the entire shift.

Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.

Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.

Noise level in the work environment is moderate.
