A Celery Bog is a type of wetland area, often found in certain regions of the United States, such as Indiana. It is named for the wild celery plants that commonly grow there and is characterized by saturated soils, diverse plant life, and abundant wildlife. Celery Bogs serve important environmental roles, such as filtering water, providing habitats for various species, and supporting local biodiversity. The term is also associated with specific nature parks or preserves, like the Celery Bog Nature Area in West Lafayette, Indiana, which is a popular site for birdwatching, hiking, and environmental education.
