Le Directeur principal, Recouvrement Taxes indirectes, travaille au sein du groupe des taxes indirectes de Ryan afin de fournir aux clients des services de d'analyse en recouvrement des taxes indirectes. Le directeur principal travaillera sur des mandats d'analyse et de contestation des verifications fiscales pour les clients.Taches et responsabilites, en rapport avec les resultats cles de Ryan
Personnel :
Assigner et diriger le personnel de conseil dans l'execution des missions, y compris la programmation, la gestion de l'avancement et de l'achevement des missions, assurer la production de rapports, reviser ces rapports pour l'exhaustivite et l'exactitude, assurer la livraison ou la communication electronique de ces rapports aux clients, et gerer toutes les interactions avec les clients par le personnel de conseil.

Clients :
Realiser les missions confiees aux clients, seul ou avec l'aide des membres de l'equipe ou des employes de Ryan, y compris tous les types de missions susceptibles d'etre confiees a l'equipe de conseil en matiere de taxes sur le chiffre d'affaires.
Preparer et soumettre des propositions de mission aux clients, sous la supervision du directeur de la taxe sur les ventes.
Preparer et presenter des seminaires et des ateliers sur la fiscalite a l'intention des clients.
Valeur :
Assiste et participe a la formation interne de Ryan sur les questions de taxe de vente.
Participe au developpement de nouvelles lignes de services a proposer aux clients.
Soutenir le developpement personnel des employes qui lui sont directement rattaches.
Preparer et completer les rapports d'exception destines aux clients en francais.
Pendant une periode de transition, participer avec le reste de l'equipe de conseillers basee a Montreal a la reponse aux questions des services de soutien a la clientele soumises en francais par les clients et aider a l'aspect technique de l'examen du processus de qualite et d'assurance pour les dossiers d'examen de la taxe de vente soumis par les gestionnaires de recouvrement de la taxe de vente en francais.
Effectuer d'autres taches qui lui sont confiees.
Formation et experience :
Maitrise en fiscalite facultative et sept annees ou plus d'experience en comptabilite ou en fiscalite dans le domaine des services de conseil, de l'industrie et/ou de l'expertise comptable. Le candidat doit posseder une solide connaissance de la legislation et des politiques relatives a la taxe sur les produits et services, a la taxe de vente du Quebec et a la taxe de vente au detail provinciale, et avoir idealement travaille en tant que professionnel dans le domaine des taxes a la consommation. Les candidats doivent egalement avoir une excellente maitrise du francais et de l'anglais, tant a l'ecrit qu'a l'oral.
Competences informatiques :
Pour effectuer ce travail avec succes, une personne doit avoir une connaissance intermediaire de Microsoft Word, Access, Excel et Outlook, ainsi que de la navigation et de la recherche sur Internet.
Certificats et licences :
Un permis de conduire valide et un passeport canadien sont exiges.
Responsabilites de supervision :
Ce poste peut necessiter des responsabilites de supervision des employes du groupe consultatif sur la taxe de vente.
Environnement de travail :
Environnement de travail interieur standard.
Occasionnellement, de longues periodes en position assise devant un ordinateur.
Le poste requiert une interaction reguliere avec les employes et les clients, tant en personne que par courrier electronique et par telephone.
Deplacements independants : jusqu'a 25 %, dont 10 % peuvent necessiter des deplacements de nuit pour des periodes allant jusqu'a une semaine.

The Manager, Sales Tax Advisory, works within Ryan's Transaction Tax Group to conduct or manage the delivery of fee-based advisory support services to clients, either by the Manager or by other members of the Sales Tax Advisory Team. As required, the Manager will either perform or assign the different task to the Team and will coach other members of the Sales Tax Advisory Team in the performance of consulting, advisory and training engagements, both in conjunction with, and independently from, the Director, Sales Tax.

Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan's Key Results

People:

  • Assigns and directs advisory staff in the performance of engagements, including scheduling, managing the progress and completion of engagements, ensuring the production of reports, reviewing such reports for completeness and accuracy, ensuring the delivery or electronic communication of such reports to clients, and managing all interaction with clients by consulting staff.
  • Create a positive team experience.

Client:

  • Performs engagements for clients as assigned, either alone or with assistance of Team members or either Ryan employees, including all such types of engagements that might be assigned to the Sales Tax Advisory Team.
  • Prepares and submits engagement proposals to clients, under supervision of the Director, Sales Tax.
  • Prepares and presents tax seminars and workshops for clients.

Value:

  • Assists in the development of additional service lines for offering to clients.
  • Supports personal development of employees that report directly to the incumbent.
  • Prepare and complete Exception reports to be issued to clients in French.
  • For a transition period, participate with the rest of the Montreal based Advisory Team in answering Client Support Services questions submitted in French by clients and assist with the technical aspect of the Quality & Assurance process review for sales tax review files submitted by Sales Tax Recovery Managers in French.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Master's in Taxation optional and seven or more years accounting or tax-related experience in consulting services, industry and/or public accounting environment. Candidate must possess a strong knowledge of Goods and Services Tax, Quebec Sales Tax and Provincial Retail Sales Tax legislation and policies, ideally working as a professional in the commodity tax field. Candidates should also possess a strong command of both written and verbal French and English.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and Outlook and Internet navigation and research.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver's license required and Canadian passport required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position may require supervisory responsibilities for employees in the Sales Tax Advisory Group.
