Job description

Set up, program (as required), and operate one or more CNC work centers in punching, shearing, or forming operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Carries out responsibilities with safety and efficiency as a priority. Prioritizes the well-being of colleagues and actively contributes to the safety program by collaborating, sharing ideas, and voicing concerns. Adheres to training guidelines, policies, and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Proactively identifies and addresses potential hazards.
  • Set up, operate, and make necessary program modifications on one or more CNC machines. Select, install, and adjust proper machine tools, jigs, and fixtures for operations to be performed.
  • Fabricate parts based on engineering drawings and work orders, ensuring they meet required specifications. Use precision measuring tools to check tolerances and maintain quality throughout production.
  • Perform authorized maintenance and adjustments on machines and machine tools.
  • Move material as needed using forklifts, hoists, overhead cranes, and manual handling as necessary.
  • Ensure the completion of all necessary production records and reports, while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory data.
  • Capable of working independently or as a team with minimum supervision.

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating a collaborative, safe and hazard free environment that is driven by employee involvement. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to leading departmental continuous improvement projects, supporting and executing all safety and health policies and programs, employee training and incident investigations.
