We are seeking an experienced Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to oversee dietary services in a skilled nursing/long-term care environment. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a passion for ensuring residents receive high-quality nutritional care and food service.

Position Overview: Certified Dietary Manager (CDM)

The Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the dietary department to ensure high-quality nutritional care and food service within the facility. This role requires adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures. The CDM will collaborate with the Administrator to maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant dietary operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all dietary department operations, programs, and staff.
  • Review and update department policies, procedures, and job descriptions annually.
  • Communicate policies effectively to staff, residents, families, and visitors.
  • Assist with budget preparation and ensure expenses align with approved budgets.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate dietary staff, recommending personnel changes as needed.
  • Oversee scheduling, assignments, and training to ensure consistent quality of service.
  • Develop and deliver monthly in-service training sessions for dietary staff.
  • Attend professional development events to stay updated on industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide education on dietary services.
Qualifications:
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential.
  • 2+ years of experience in food service management.
  • Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings.
