Our Transportation Driver - CDL Class B is responsible for the following:
  • Operate all vehicles for transportation of Masonic Village's passengers in a safe and efficient manner. Maintains commercial driver's license (CDL) and abides by the rules and regulations set forth by the licensure.
  • Transports passengers as assigned, and assists passengers in and out of vehicles in accordance with their physical Capabilities. Maneuver wheelchairs into position and be able to safely secure them in wheelchair bus.
  • Check general operation of all vehicles with special attention to daily checks of all safety equipment. Report vehicle equipment malfunctions to the Maintenance Department personnel responsible for vehicle mechanical maintenance. Keeps buses neat and clean.
  • Responsible for operation of Masonic Village vehicles for the purpose of transporting residents and guests on activity outings, trips and shuttle runs. This would include preparing seating arrangement for wheelchair buses, notifying appropriate Masonic Village personnel when there is an emergency, logging accurate attendance and documenting activity as required.
  • Take assigned passengers to local transportation areas (airports, bus, and train stations).
  • Pick up and deliver all Masonic Village's mail as stated in the daily mail schedule.

What You Need as a Transportation Driver - CDL Class B:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Possess a current commercial driver's license (CDL) from the state of Pennsylvania with a Class B, P Endorsement.
  • Ability to drive cars, vans or buses carrying 14 passengers or more, including operations of a wheelchair bus.
