Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a Class A tanker truck, transporting cement from supply terminals to various concrete plant locations.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with all regulations.
  • Accurately complete and maintain logbooks, delivery documentation, and other required paperwork in compliance with company policies and DOT regulations.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch to receive delivery instructions and provide updates on route progress.
  • Ensure the secure loading and unloading of cement, preventing spillage or contamination.
  • Adhere to established routes, schedules, and safety procedures for transporting hazardous materials.
  • Provide exceptional customer service at delivery sites, acting as a professional representative of the company.
  • Promptly report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
  • Stay updated on safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.

Requirements:
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Tanker Endorsement is helpful, but not always required
  • Current DOT Medical Card
  • A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in driving Class A tanker trucks.
  • Clean driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for transporting materials.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and manage tasks that involve bending, lifting, and climbing.
  • Excellent time management skills to adhere to predetermined schedules.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with plant personnel and customers.
  • Willingness to undergo SRM's pre-employment screenings.
