Job Summary:
Xcelente Training Center is seeking an experienced and dedicated CDL Trainer to deliver high-quality instruction for Class A, Class B, refresher courses, and entry-level driver training. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, a commitment to safety, and the skills to support students of all experience levels in meeting FMCSA standards and preparing for successful careers in commercial driving.
Key Responsibilities:
โ€ข Instruct students in both classroom and behind-the-wheel settings for Class A and Class B commercial licenses.
โ€ข Provide hands-on training in vehicle inspection, shifting, maneuvering, road skills, and safety procedures.
โ€ข Deliver refresher training to experienced drivers returning to the industry.
โ€ข Support and mentor entry-level drivers as they develop foundational skills and confidence.
โ€ข Monitor student progress and provide feedback and coaching as needed.
โ€ข Maintain accurate documentation of student attendance, progress, and evaluations.
โ€ข Ensure all instruction complies with FMCSA, DOT, and state regulations.
โ€ข Promote a positive learning environment and uphold a culture of safety and professionalism.
Qualifications:
Valid CDL Class A license required (Class B experience preferred).
โ€ข Minimum 5 years of recent commercial driving experience.
โ€ข Prior teaching, training, or coaching experience are strongly preferred.
โ€ข Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA rules and safety standards.
