Job description

Our company is looking for a Hydrovac truck operator. Class B with tanker endorsement required. Must be mechanically inclined. Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work unsupervised. Night, weekend, and overtime work is required. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the successful completion of hydro excavation projects including: utility line exposure, debris removal, slot trenching, and digging
  • Ensure all truck equipment and components are in good working condition at all times
  • Perform Pre/Post Trip inspections
  • Set up/break down of equipment
  • Follow safety rules/regulations at all times
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year driving experience required
  • Must have a Class B Commercial Driver's License with Tanker endorsement
  • Experience hauling liquids is required
  • Able to travel and work extended hours as needed
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations
  • Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record within the last three years
  • Must be able to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
  • Applicant shall agree to initial Drug/Alcohol testing and random testing thereafter
  • Strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be able to communicate effectively
  • Safety mindedness is essential
  • Clean MVR (2 or fewer traffic violations in current 3-year period)
  • Travel out of town and out of state for work will be required at times
  • Must be on-call and available to work at all times (Due to client schedules, operators may not work every day but must be on-call for irregular hours)
  • Underground utility experience is a plus
